I graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor's in Chemistry, and worked as a problem-solver and new product developer at Dow Chemical in Texas and Michigan.

After leaving Dow in 1993, I founded Young Associates Inc., which became a successful consultancy for industry using Red X problem-solving tools.

I have always been involved in helping others. When my sons were young, I became a Boy Scout Leader and served in that capacity for 14 years during which I helped all 3 of my boys become Eagle Scouts. This includes my middle son who has Cerebral Palsy and is significantly disabled.

My wife became ill at a young age and her health quickly deteriorated. She became bedridden and stayed in our home, where I was her caregiver until her passing.

Caring for my son and wife has given me valuable insights into the complications of long term care.

Then, out of the blue, I came across MOM'S HOUSE, which changed my whole perspective on long term care. I realized that I could be of service to other families who are dealing with the heartbreak and the complications of long term care for a loved one. I created Tri City Senior Transitions to help families through the process of finding their best solution to the long term care challenge – finding “the right community, right now.”
